Volunteer community service

The IMLS in Montpellier participates in a worldwide movement for international students which aims at combining academic study with community service Alongside their studies in the French language, students volunteer in institutions such as: primary and high schools in Montpellier, NGOs or other partner organisations such as: Association des Paralyses de France (APF), Secours Catholique (Caritas), Avitarelle (shelter home), Institut St Pierre in Palavas (hospital for children), retirement home La Providence etc…

Students may tutor disadvantaged children, accompany handicapped persons or assist a teacher in conversation classes.
They participate actively in the education process. They are both actors and beneficiaries in a dynamic relationship.
